Appearance of the Havanese

The Havanese is a sturdy little toy breed. It has a lively gait, with tail carried over the back and a spring in the step. The demeanor of the Havanese is playful, friendly, and curious and this is reflected in its appearance. As a show dog, the coat is kept long and untrimmed, but as a family pet it is usually groomed to maximize cuteness and ease of care. The color can be gold, chocolate, blue, silver, black, cream or champagne. It can also be a combination of colors.
